Greetings Library family.

As this cold weather settles upon us there is only one tried and true action to take. Bust out those sweaters that we all love so much, grab your favorite coffee or tea beverage, and drop by your local library for your favorite "paper stay-cation."

Recently the Pea Ridge Community Library joined forces with the Arkansas State Library, along with 21 other Arkansas libraries, to provide a larger scale of available e-books & audio-books via OverDrive or Libby. This is a great resource for patrons who don't have transportation readily available to them! It's as easy as downloading the Libby app on your phone, searching for "Arkansas Digital Library Consortium" as your library, choosing Pea Ridge Community Library to sign in with your library card info and that's it!

We take pride in the ability to provide our patrons with as many of the same amenities as some of the larger libraries.

Have you heard about our next big event coming up this month?

At 6 p.m. on Oct. 27, the library will host our first ever Murder Mystery Dinner sponsored by our Friends of the Library group. This will be a catered event and tickets must be purchased beforehand; you can do so a few different ways. One is by going to the event on our Friends of the Pea Ridge Community Library's Facebook page and clicking in the ticket section. Another is by stopping by the library and either paying in cash/check, or using our public computers which are temporarily set to automatically direct you to the ticket purchasing website. Tickets are limited and we have over half sold already! This event will be set in the 1920s and all are encouraged to dress the part, though it is not mandatory.

This week's upcoming events are:

• Quilter's Club, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Oct. 17

• Weekly Wednesday Story-time and Craft, 11 a.m. Oct. 17
