Wanda Roe, Pea Ridge, attended the International Convention of Delta Kappa Gamma Society, July 16-20, in Austin, Texas. The society is a professional society devoted to excellence in education. Their headquarters is located in Austin.
Members toured the headquarters and enjoyed the sights and sounds of Austin with programs and workshops. They reviewed and amended their bylaws and made plans for new projects and utilizing the newest technologies.
Roe, a 50-year-member, has served as state president and been appointed to five international committees. She has presented many programs and workshops in several states and in all five regions. She has received both chapter and state achievement awards. She participated in workshops and sang in the 200-member chorus. There were 1,914 members from 17 countries who attended the convention.
