Grant buys fire gear

Fenn Wimberly, left, presented a $5,000 grant to Pea Ridge Fire Chief Jamie Baggett. Wimberly, Arkansas Parks Fire Management officer, and Nolan Moore, right, Pea Ridge National Military Park chief of resources management, presented the check to Baggett, second from right, and firefighter/paramedic Scott Larson, second from left. The check will pay for Nomex coveralls to protect firefighters when fighting brush and grass fires. Also purchased were helmets, goggles and backpack water containers. "This is not costing the city any money," Baggett said.
