Pizza by the Yard
Recipe from the kitchen of Travis Englund's Mother
Country Classics Battlefield 4-H Club
1 (18-inch) French bread loaf
1 lb. ground beef, cooked and drained
20-30 slices pepperoni
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/3 c. chopped onion
¼ c. chopped olives
½ tsp. oregano
½ tsp. salt
1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded mozzarella cheese
Cut bread in half lengthwise and set aside. Combine remaining ingredients except cheese; stir well. Spread meat mixture evenly on bread halves. Place bread on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and place cheese over meat mixture. Bake at 400 degrees until cheese melts. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
