Hello, fellow Pea Ridge family.

We are exceptionally pleased with how our new Chess and Checkers Club has grown within the last month. Currently there are a handful of junior high boys and some wonderful retired gentlemen joining us each gathering, but newcomers are always welcome to attend.

The Dave Ramsey financial class has also been going incredibly well, with the class roster almost at full capacity every Tuesday. There are only three lessons left before the class graduates March 21.

Please call or visit the library to obtain the hours for all events.

Jeff Thacker, a representative from Steve Womack's office, will be at the library from 2-4 p.m. March 16 to listen to concerns and questions from the public.

The library is having a large book drive from now to March 18. On March 18, the library will host the "Spring into Reading Book Sale" from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a pre-sale at 8 a.m. for Friends of the Pea Ridge Library members. All proceeds will go to the library for new books and educational classes. As you're cleaning those closets during the spring cleaning madness, don't forget to bring us your books.

March Book Club Meetings:

• Sixth grade: 3:45 p.m. March 13

• Seventh and eighth grade: 3:45 p.m. March 15

• Adult: 6 p.m. March 16

• High School: 3:45 p.m. March 27

To join, swing by the library to sign out a copy of the book being discussed as soon as possible.

More volunteers are welcome at the library; anyone from 13 to 100 years of age are welcome to come by and pick up an application.
