New Meadowbrook
GARFIELD -- The members of the New Meadowbrook Extension Homemaker's Club of Garfield met at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 11 at the Lost Bridge Community Center.
Karen Launderville, president, gave the devotions for the meeting. The club project for the year is to provide items and food needed at the Animal Shelter in Springdale. Launderville served refreshments at the close of the meeting. Lisa Ingalls and Terri Jarding will host the meeting in February.
Glade Historical Society
GARFIELD -- The first general meeting of the Glade Historical Society for 2017 will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, in the Lost Bridge Community Room. Jerry Nichols will be the speaker; his topic is "Ozark Winters of Old."
