Hay lease opportunity

Pea Ridge National Military Park superintendent Kevin Eads, announced that the park is requesting bids to lease fields, and a storage building, for the purposes of haying selected areas within the park.

"Haying of fields within the park will assist with preservation of the landscape and allow visitors to view the vast open expanses soldiers fought across during the Battle of Pea Ridge," Eads said.

Copies of the request for bids (RFB) are available for downloading at concessions.nps.gov/news.htm. If you obtain a copy of the RFB from the Website and are interested in future correspondence directly related to this advertisement, please contact Tracy Simmons at [email protected].

In order to be considered, bids must be received by 4 p.m. (Central Time) on April 17 by Chief of Commercial Services Tracy Simmons, National Park Service, Midwest Regional Office, 601 Riverfront Drive, Omaha, NE 68102, 402-661-1750.

Site visits of the facilities are available upon request by contacting the park's biologist Nolan Moore at 479-451-8122 ext. 1225.
