Nichols to speak

BENTONVILLE -- The Northwest Arkansas Genealogical Society will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, in the Rotary Room, Bentonville Public Library, 405 S. Main St.

Jerry Nichols of the Pea Ridge Historical Society will present a program on the early history of Pea Ridge, a community that began before Arkansas statehood in 1836.

5K D.A.S.H to Remember

The annual Ryan Mondy D.A.S.H. run to remember is slated for Saturday, March 4. Proceeds are used for the Ryan Mondy Memorial Scholarship.

The first 100 5K participants are guaranteed a T-shirt and goody bag.

The 5K run begins at 8 a.m. A one-mile fun run begins at 8:45 a.m.

Entry fees are $15 for 12 and younger for one mile run. Entry fees are $25 for one mile and 5K for runners 12 and older. Register online at register-wizard.com/events.aspx. See D.A.S.H. to Remember on Facebook.
