Fee free week at Military Park

National Park Week will be celebrated with fee free days April 15-16 and April 22-23, according to officials at the Pea Ridge National Military Park.

Military Park officials invite everyone to come and celebrate "National Park Week" from April 15-23. During this celebration, normal entrance fees will be waived at all National Park Service sites, including Pea Ridge National Military Park, on the weekends of April 15-16 and April 22-23. Come and learn about this important Civil War battle, take a hike, enjoy a bike ride or just come out to get away from it all. Pea Ridge National Military Park preserves and commemorates the March 1862 Civil War battle that helped Union forces maintain physical and political control of the state of Missouri. Administered by the National Park Service, the 4,300 acre battlefield is located six miles east of Pea Ridge, just off of U.S. Highway 62.
