Alumni dinner is Saturday

The springtime Barbecue Dinner and Pie Auction sponsored by the Pea Ridge High School Alumni Association will be 5-7 p.m. Saturday, April 8, in the Pea Ridge Middle School cafeteria.

Adults eat for $7, children 5-12 for $4 and children 4 and under eat free. Bring your Blackhawk chairs.

The Pie Auction with Jerry Fitzner as auctioneer will start at 6 p.m. The evening will also feature music by Adam Ash and Ozark Mountain Revival.

This event is a fundraiser for the PRHS Alumni Association to raise funds for college scholarships to benefit the 2017 graduating seniors of Pea Ridge High School.

The Alumni Association, organized in 2007, offered one $1,000 scholarship in its first year. Since then the Scholarship Program has grown and expanded, and this year will award 10 scholarships to help the 2017 high school graduates begin a college education. The Alumni Association is tax-exempt under the IRS code's Section 501.c.3, so donations to the Scholarship Program are tax-deductible.
