Negel Hall Memorial Award

Col. Negel Hall will be remembered by the awarding of the Negel Hall Memorial award presented at the end of the Pea Ridge Mule Jump for the best mule overall.

Hall was known for initiating the first mule jump in Pea Ridge. Over the years, he served as master of ceremonies, master of ceremonies emeritus and honorary mule jump chairman, in addition to entering his mules in the contests. Hall spent much of his life working with jump mules such as Fristy

After his death in October of 1998, his widow, Mrs. Peggy Hall, continued to present the award until her death in January 2011.
