Fireworks

Jamez the monkey looks at the calendar and calls Lane Wolverine and Ally the Cheetah. Jamez asks, ¨Would you both meet me at El Mariachi for dinner and to celebrate the New Year?¨

Lane and Ally agree to meet Jamez at 8 P.M.

When the group arrives, they see a closed sign on the door, but Lane says that it is not supposed to be closed today. Lane and Ally decide to look for another entrance in the back of the building. Jamez goes to the side of the building. Lane and Ally find the drive-thru

window and find it unlocked. They open it and climb through. The lady from the restaurant sees them and tries to stop them from coming into the restaurant. All of a sudden, Dash the Snake grabs the lady and pulls her away from the window toward the side door. When they come out the door, Jamez tries to help her, but he is too late. Dash has already taken the old lady.

So Jamez goes inside the restaurant, and says, ¨Guys, Dash the Snake has taken the old lady from here.¨

¨Ok,¨ Lane says, ¨let's get to the gas station.¨

When they got there, Lane the wolverine says, ¨Let's go outside to the back of the building where we can talk about how to get her back.¨

They try to come up with ideas when Jamez decides that it would be a good idea to go to the old blue house out of town. Lane and Ally choose to try looking on the other side of town where many warehouses are located.

So Jamez goes to the old blue house and sees that the fireworks that will be used for tonight's New Year's Celebration have tipped over, and somehow the fuse is lit. He runs toward the house, but he trips on a tree root and falls face first into the mud. The fireworks begin to explode over his head and hit the side of the house. The old wooden siding starts to ignite, and the flames climb to the roof.

Jamez looks at the window and sees Dash slither out. Jamez realizes that the old lady is inside, and he has 30 minutes to save her because the fire is spreading quickly. He calls Ally and Lane and tells them to hurry to the old blue house. So he goes to the shed and grabs a ladder. He climbs to the roof and cuts a hole out. When he finishes, Ally and Lane arrive. Jamez yells at Ally and Lane that he is going to use the ladder to get the old lady out. Ally rushes to the house, but she doesn't get far because Dash bites her. Lane claws Dash, and Dash drops Ally. Jamez climbs down into the burning house, and he rescues the old lady.

Lane puts Ally in the car and rushes her to the hospital for an antidote. Jamez helps the old lady walk to the car when the fire truck and ambulance come. The firefighters put out the flames, and the police arrive. They arrest Dash while the paramedics help the old lady.

At the end of the day, Lane, Ally, and Jamez go to Lane's house and bang pots and pans because there will be no fireworks this year.
