Public input sought

GARFIELD -- People interested in having more sidewalks within Garfield city limits are invited to attend a public meeting prior to the next City Council meeting, scheduled Tuesday, March 8. The city is applying for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to pay for sidewalks, according to city officials.

A CDBG grant writer will be available from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, to receive community input. The more people who attend this meeting and demonstrate interest in Garfield sidewalks, the more points we will earn toward award of this grant, city officials said.

The regularly scheduled City Council meeting is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, in City Hall. An agenda was not available at press time.
