Monday, Jan. 18

8:20 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Ford Street for an attempted burglary report. The resident said he found someone had accessed his backyard through a gate he keeps locked. No property was missing.

Tuesday, Jan. 19

9:50 a.m. A resident of Turner Way reported a stray dog. It was picked up and taken to the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic. The owner, Brooke Weston, 34, Pea Ridge, claimed the dog and was cited for dog at large.

2:19 p.m. Police responded to the area of South Curtis Avenue for a one-vehicle accident. The driver of the vehicle, Jerrod Lee Brown, 38, Rogers, told police he was northbound on South Curtis Avenue when a front tire blew out causing him to lose control of his vehicle. As a result of the investigation, Brown was arrested on warrants from Eureka Springs, Rogers and Pea Ridge and for driving on a suspended driver's license and possession of a controlled substance Sch. IV or V.

4 p.m. A business owner in Pea Ridge reported a possible attempted fraud involving someone claiming to work for Southwestern Electric Company and attempting to collect and overdue bill. Police found the call to be fraudulent.

6:50 p.m. Police took a report of a one-vehicle accident on Ark. Hwy. 265 (Hayden Road) involving a vehicle driven by Dakotah Kieann Hughes, 23, Bentonville. Hughes told police she was southbound on Hayden Road when her vehicle slid on the roadway due to freezing rain.

Wednesday, Jan. 20

5:53 p.m. Police received a report of a disturbance at a residence on McNair Street. A woman claimed her son was attempting to steal her car. As a result of the investigation, police determined no laws had been broken.

9:36 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested a passenger, Mitchell Creech, 20, Rogers, for possession of Sch. IV or V and possession of drug paraphernalia.

11:34 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on East Watie Street for a trespassing involving an ex-boyfriend's girlfriend ringing the doorbell of the residence. As a result of the investigation, Daniel L. Nichols, 24, Bentonville, and Christina Lean Kirkland, 18, Cave Springs, were issued written warnings for criminal trespass.

Thursday, Jan. 21

1:40 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, a passenger, Amber N. Shaffer, 23, Rogers, was arrested on a warrant from Rogers. She was transferred to Rogers Police.

5:20 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested the driver, Jason McEvans, 29, Pea Ridge, on five warrants from Benton County and one from Rogers. He was transported to Rogers Police and given a citation for driving on a suspended driver's license, no proof of insurance and failure to register.

Friday, Jan. 22

12:51 p.m. Police were notified of a Child Abuse Hotline report involving a child at Pea Ridge Primary School. As a result of the investigation, police arrested Erik Lynn Perkins, 27, Pea Ridge, for second-degree domestic battering.

3:51 p.m. Police took a report of private property traffic accident involving vehicles driven by Jacob Vaughn, 27, Rogers, and Phillip C. Rodgers, 50, Rogers. The accident happened on Townsend Way, a private road.

4:55 p.m. Police took a report of a state traffic accident involving vehicles driven by Derrick Brown, 25, Centerton, and Nicholas R. Oneal, 24, Siloam Springs.

4:10 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Gary Don Adams, 24, Seligman, Mo., for two warrants from Rogers and one from Washington County and for possession of a controlled substance.

11:59 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Walter Trae Turner, 19, Seligman, Mo., for DUI - under age DUI law.

Saturday, Jan. 23

4:04 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Josiah N. Keys, 18, Centerton, for possession of drug paraphernalia. Two 17-year-old females (one of whom was the driver) and a 17-year-old male were questioned. Police confiscated several items including a plastic baggy containing a "strong smelling leafy green substance," a green smoking pipe and a smoking bong. One juvenile female was released to a friend of the family; the driver was released to her parents with a citation for speeding, but declined to give a statement on the advise of her parents. The girls were from Gravette and Bella Vista, the juvenile male was from Centerton. He was released to a guardian.
