Blackhawks 56, Bobcats 34

The Pea Ridge Blackhawks defeated the Berryville Bobcats 56-34 in a contest Tuesday, Jan. 12, at home.

Blackhawk Joey Hall led the scoring for the home team with 16 points. Other Blackhawk scorers were Cole Wright, 10; Hayden Holtgrewe, 9; Britton Caudill, 4; Westin Church, 14; and Kobe Rose, 3.

Berryville's top scorer was Helmlinger with 12 points. No other Bobcat scored more than 7 points.

Girls

Lady Blackhawks 64, Lady Bobcats 71

Despite Jennifer Anthony putting 23 points on the board and the Lady Blackhawks taking the lead numerous times, the Pea Ridge Lady Blackhawks lost to Berryville 71-64 Tuesday, Jan. 12. Berryville clinched their lead in the fourth quarter on a 3-pointer.

The Lady Blackhawks scored early in the game, boasting a 29-28 lead at the half, but Berryville ultimately came back for the victory. Racking up 22 fouls in total, Pea Ridge played a physical game.

Anthony shot well from the field, making 53 percent (8-for-15) of shots attempted as well as 60 percent (6-for-10) of 3-point shots attempted.

Avery Dayberry hit double digits, scoring 16 points for Pea Ridge (4-for-7). Also contributing for Pea Ridge were Maggie Fletcher (6 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal), Laura Socha (6 points, 1 rebound), Alli Whatley (5 points, 1 rebound), Sunny Olson (4 points, 6 rebounds), Melissa Landis (2 points), and Catherine Hooten (2 points, 2 rebounds).

Pea Ridge finished the game with 22 rebounds (9 offensive / 13 defensive) and five steals.

JV Blackhawk boys

Junior varsity Blackhawks defeated the junior varsity Bobcats 58-34. Blackhawks scoring were Garrett King, 6; Logan Johnson, 5; Drew Winn, 4; Kobe Rose, 22; Joseph Beard, 14; Landon Rhine, 2; Chase Duncan, 2; and Ryan Sheppard, 3.
