A graduate of Berryville High School, Neal earned his college degree from University of Arkansas. He played basketball, baseball and football as a student and still plays golf.

"I coach because I enjoy more than just the Xs and Os," Neal said. "I enjoy the relationships and building our young men and women into to mature responsible adults. I coach because I once had a man who impacted me as a player and I wanted to have that same impact on others. I coach because every athlete deserves a coach who believes in them."

The best advice he ever received was: "To never to take for granted the sports we play. God put us on this earth to serve others and we have been given the opportunity to play the sports we love. At any moment all could be taken away."
