Arkansas Tech University

RUSSELLVILLE -- The Arkansas Tech University Registrar's Office has released a certified list of 1,905 degrees conferred upon students on the Russellville campus during the 2015-16 academic year.

Those who graduated with honors based upon cumulative grade point average --- Cum Laude (3.50-3.69), Magna Cum Laude (3.70-3.89) or Summa Cum Laude (3.90-4.00) --- are listed as such. Those students who completed the University Honors program are also noted.

Graduates from northeast Benton County who are among the graduates from the Russellville campus of Arkansas Tech in Russellville for the 2015-16 academic year include:

Colton Scott Holtgrewe, Bachelor of Science, Garfield; and

Richard Kyle Brown, Bachelor of Science, Pea Ridge.

Southwest Baptist University

Ryan Roughton of Pea Ridge was named to the president's list of Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo., on the spring 2016 honor roll lists.

To be listed on the semester's honor roll, students earn a grade-point average of a 3.7 to 3.84 for the president's list.

Henderson State University

Ryssa L. May of Avoca, was named a dean graduate on the Henderson State University, Arkadelphia, honor roll for the spring 2016 semester. To be named to the dean's list, a student achieved a 4.0 grade-point average

University of Arkansas-Fort Smith

Local students at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith play leadership roles in the 13th annual Cub Camp to be held Aug. 18-20. These student leaders help coordinate the camp, lead discussion groups and serve as counselors. Hayley Howard of Van Buren, UAFS student, serves as the Cub Camp director.

The event is designed to help incoming freshman acclimate to college life at UAFS by providing opportunities to connect with fellow freshmen, upperclassmen, counselors, faculty, staff and administration. The camp features campus tours, informational skits and discussions on involvement opportunities available to students.

Cub Camp leaders include Rilee Patrick and Casey Tidwell, Pea Ridge.

College of the Ozarks

Skye Craig of Bentonville (a graduate of Pea Ridge High School) was named to the spring 2016 dean's list at College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Mo., with grade-point averages of 3.6 or better.

University of Arkansas at Little Rock

Lon Brown and Kimberly Gresham, both of Pea Ridge, were named to the spring 2016 dean's list at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, with grade-point averages of 3.5 or better.

Oklahoma State University

Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla., awarded degrees in 2016 to a number of students from across the region.

Garfield: Meagan Burns, bachelor of arts, English.

Pea Ridge: Caraline Duprey, bachelor of science, athletic training, magna cum laude; Katelyn Hudson, bachelor of science, industrial engineering and management.
