A routine traffic stop was anything but routine recently when police discovered the car stopped was stolen.

Shortly before midnight Thursday, April 7, police were running radar on West Pickens Road when a green car was observed traveling west on Pickens Street with the right headlight out.

The driver was James Casey Dray, 37, Rocky Comfort, Mo. The passenger, Kendra Lynne Stanley, 33, Rocky Comfort, Mo., told police she had been drinking and that was why Dray was driving. Both Dray and Stanley were wanted on multiple warrants out of multiple agencies, according to the police report.

While inventorying Stanley's property, police found a cigarette box with a "half-rolled marijuana cigarette ... a small plastic baggie with crystals in it, believed to be meth" and items belonging to the vehicle owner's grandmother.

Stanley was booked for felony theft by receiving, felony possession of controlled substance-meth, possession of controlled substance-marijuana, and warrants out of Benton County and Bentonville.
