Lewis Automotive is donating popcorn and a drawing prize.

raising for the Make-A-Wish Foundation is slated for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at Rush Springs Ranch in McDonald County, Mo., just north of Pea Ridge.

The Walk-For-Wishes benefit will include face painting, horse painting, horse grooming, a stick horse rodeo, horseback riding and drinks and snacks for $10. The event is sponsored by former Miss Arkansas Rodeo Kelsey Parmenter.

A Walk-For-Wishes will be hosted in Northwest Arkansas for the first time in history with a walk at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 7, at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale. Not only is it the first event in Arkansas but in the mid-south region.

Rewind, Walk-For-Wishes is a fundraiser extension of the Make-A-Wish Foundation which grants "wishes" to children diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. It allows them and their families to escape the forever looming stresses and difficulties that the sickness burdens their families with. Some children wish to go to Disneyland while others wish to "fly like their favorite super hero." Some kids want to be a police officer while others wish to dance like a ballerina. Make-A-Wish tries to make those come true for as many kids as possible.

"Lewis Automotive is donating popcorn and a drawing," Parmenter said.

"We are stoked about getting involved with local non-profits!"
