Pea Ridge man arrested for porn

Francisco Jose Espinoza-Hernandez, 28, was booked at 11:46 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015, in the Benton County Jail facing child pornography charges.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on April 6, 2013, members of the BCSO Cyber Crimes division was conducting investigations into the sharing of child pornography files on a publicly available peer-to-peer file sharing network and found one with at least 10 files of "investigative interest."

A subpoena requesting information for the IP address was sent to Cox Communications on April 7, 2013. The information from Cox showed the address assigned to the house at 675 Washburn, Pea Ridge, where Espinoza-Hernandez lived.

A search warrant was requested and received on May 13, 2013, and executed May 14, 2013, according to the affidavit, and of the computer on May 16.

"Multiple images of child pornography and child erotica from multiple pieces of media" were found on the computer, according to the affidavit. "The images... consist of both still images and video depicting sexually explicit activities involving unknown victims ranging in estimate ages of two to 17 years of age," according to the affidavit. There were a total of 13 images and three videos.

Espinoz-Hernandez was still in the Benton County Jail Monday in lieu of a $250,000 bond.
