Pea Ridge Police help Crossett Police

On Dec. 30, 2014, the Crossett Police Department received a complaint of fraudulent charges on First National Bank of Crossett customers' debit cards. The charges were occurring primarily at Wal-Mart Stores in Oklahoma, Missouri, northern Arkansas and Texas. Working closely with Wal-Mart and First National Bank of Crossett employees, Crossett police were able to develop four suspects.

Two suspects were arrested by the Pea Ridge Police Department and two were arrested by the Sallisaw Police Department in Oklahoma. All four suspects are currently being held in Crossett City Jail on charges of theft of property over $10,000, computer fraud and fraudulent use of debit card.

The suspects are Ramon E. Oliva, 24, Vladamir M. Gutierrez, 45, Juan Nestor Haro Rignak, 31, and Jerson Yafeth Escobar, 26, all of of Houston, Texas. They were taken for a first appearance on Jan. 9, 2015, where Judge Billy Hubbell set bond at $500,000 each.

Officials with the Crossett Police Department would like to thank the employees of First National Bank of Crossett and Wal-Mart of Crossett for their assistance in this investigation. We would also like to thank the Pea Ridge Police Department and Sallisaw Police Department for their hard work and dedication in arresting the suspects.
