FFA Week celebrated

From Staff Reports

Members of the Pea Ridge High School FFA are celebrating National FFA Week this week.

Monday was "Camo" day. Students dressed in different attire depending on the theme of the day, according to teacher Perry Mason.

Monday, Mason took the Officer Team to Farmington High School for the Arkansas Foundation Kickoff banquet.

"All of the Ag chapters in the area will collaborate there and pledge donations to the Foundation which will be used for scholarships and other various awards throughout the next year," Mason said.

On Wednesday, first-year FFA members (Greenhands) will put their hand-prints onto the now famous "Greenhand Wall of Fame" on the east wall down Agriculture Street, Mason said.

On Friday, the annual Faculty/Community breakfast will take place in the FACS classroom thanks to the generosity of FACS teacher Ms. Rickard.

Friday evening, the students will celebrate during the annual FFA Barnwarming.

Mason said that students from the Vet Science, Horses and Livestock evaluation teams will travel to Fayetteville Saturday for "wild hog" judging contests and competitions.
