Kobe Rose scored 19 points Saturday night as Pea Ridge won the Lavaca Invitational title by defeating the Golden Arrows. Westin Church added 11, and Britton Caudill 9.

"This was a great tournament for us to be in," Blackhawk coach Trent Loyd said. "As a team, we grew up in a lot of areas. It was good for a lot of guys to get playing time. It was also extremely beneficial for our football guys to get out on the floor and play. I could not be happier with the total performance for the entire week. We still have a lot of areas to get better at, but we are heading in the right direction."

The Blackhawks (3-1) rode a 19-9 run in the first quarter to take the victory. The Blackhawks return to action Thursday when it hosts the Battle of the Ridge.
