The Giving Gallery will open at 8 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at the church, 351 Lee Town Rd., Pea Ridge. The Giving Gallery for children (ages 16 and younger) is an annual event offering an opportunity for the children of the community to experience Christmas shopping in a warm, safe environment at a very low cost. Members of the church and the community have collected items that can be purchased by children for their family and friends. All items are priced at $1 or less with most items being 25 to 50 cents. With help from their parents, children make out a shopping list and dollar amount to be spent. Gift items are then wrapped and labeled for free. There will be adults and teens from the church to help each child as they go through the shopping process.

Also open for shopping will be an area for parents who are waiting for their children to complete their shopping. There will be an area open to the public with new and yard sale items, home baked pies, cookies, jellies, and some crafts. There will be free coffee and hot chocolate.

Shopping hours will end at 2 p.m. All proceeds go to funding the Giving Gallery for the next year.

The Giving Gallery greatly appreciates any donations for the children's area as well as the adult area. Gently used or new items appropriate for the children to purchase for Christmas gifts are very welcome. Pea Ridge is a community dedicated to helping others. We have seen the number of children shoppers increase each year and a dramatic increase in 2013. With your support, expectations are that there will be an even greater outreach in 2015. For donations or questions, please feel free to call Kristina Walker at 479-366-2814; Chrissie Doyle at 479-619-6425; Judy Fortner at 479-621-3178
