Twelve Corners Baptist Church

On Saturday, Sept. 13, Twelve Corners Baptist Church will be offering barbecue chicken on the parking lot of Arvest Bank, Pea Ridge. Chicken is expected to be ready by 10:30 a.m.,and available into the afternoon until sold out. Half chicken will be $5.

Proceeds will go toward helping the Twelve Corners Church celebrate its 175th anniversary. Twelve Corners Baptist was founded in 1839 at Elkhorn Tavern and moved to its present location when the congregation outgrew the original cabin space.

Mothers Day Out enrollment for fall 2014 is now open. Call the church at 451-8192 to register.

Mothers Day Out has an opening for a teaching position.

TeamKid is at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays for children.

First Baptist Church, Garfield

Wednesday night programs 6 p.m. youth and children activities; 6:30 p.m. adult Bible study and prayer. Small groups meet at 6 p.m. Sundays at various locations.

Westside Baptist Church

"Discipleship 101" classes Bible study is at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday nights at 6:30 pm. Anyone is invited to participate. We would love to see new visitors to learn about Jesus Christ.

Bella Vista Christian Church News Story

"Unleashed: Acts that change the World" is the new message series at Bella Vista Christian Church during the 9 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday services at Bella Vista Christian Church. KidTown (infant to fifth grade) meets at both service times, with Radiate Students (sixth to 12th grade) gathering for their class during the 10:45 a.m. service.

The Student Ministry will begin a new night for teen Life Groups from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 7, at the church. All students sixth to 12th grades are welcome.

Life Groups are now forming for the new season. These small groups are held in homes around Bella Vista and in the church. For information, check the church website.

Men's Ministry will host "33" vol. 2 men's study at 7 p.m. on Tuesdays at the church. Guys of all ages are welcome.

The Northwest Arkansas class of Bible Study Fellowship will offer Satellite Discussion Groups at Bella Vista Christian starting on Sept. 11. The study this year is "The Life of Moses" and will meet from 9 to 10:35 a.m. on Thursday mornings. Each group will have a trained BSF leader to facilitate discussion of weekly questions and then assemble together for lecture through either the audio mobile lecture or DVD. All satellite members may attend BSF Seminars at the Lowell location. The pre-school program will be offered only at the Lowell location.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) will begin a new season on Friday, Sept. 12. The group meets three times a month (second, third and fourth weeks) from 9 to 11 am. For more information, contact the church office at 855-1616.

A tailgate picnic will be held at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21, at Riordan Park Pavilion. Everyone is welcome. RSVP on the church website at www.bellavistachristian.com.
