Granny's Quilts of Love
Granny's Quilts of Love 11th annual Dinner and Auction was held Aug. 23 at Pea Ridge High School. The auction was a huge success. Many thanks to local businesses in Pea Ridge: Arvest Bank, Community First Bank, Sonic, Family Florist and Rick Neal, Superintendent of Pea Ridge Schools and his staff as well. Thanks to Metro Applicances and alll of the vendors who give so generously and to all of the community who make it possible for Granny's to put a smile on the faces of the seriously ill children at Arkansas Children's Hospital.
For the Granny's who have signed up to go on our trip to Little Rock to visit the Arkansas Children's Hospital, meet at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 6:15 a.m. at Assembly of God church parking lot 577 Weston St. in Pea Ridge. Departure is at 6:30 a.m. sharp.
The next meeting will be at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 16 at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church in Pea Ridge located at 1300 N. Davis. Members will cut quilt kits.

New Meadowbrook Extension Club
Members of the New Meadowbrook Extension Club met for a picnic at the Roxie Geddie home on Wednesday, Aug. 27. All enjoyed an evening with friends, family and guests. Two guests have now joined the club.
The next meeting will be held at the First Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10.
