Story Hour is popular

Is it just me or are the weeks are just flying by? Here it is Halloween with Thanksgiving and Christmas just around the corner. There are so many churches hosting events that the library will not be open for Trick or Treating this year. Sure hope the nice weather holds for the trick or treaters.

There is nothing really exciting happening at the library. Just our normal routine and that is not a bad thing. It gives us time to catch our breath and catch up on book repairs, cleaning, etc.

Earlier this year, we had squirrels in the attic. Live traps didn't work. We liberally sprinkled mothballs around the attic and lived with the odor and the squirrels moved on. Now they have returned. From the size of the nest that was removed, it must be a large family! Their entry way has been repaired and hopefully they won't chew through again!

Attendance at the Wednesday Story Hour is growing each week. Seeing those children each week is the highlight of our week.

We hope to get out and pick up some new releases this week. John Sanford, John Grisham, Jodi Picoult, and Bill O'Reilly all have new books out. Our DVD collection is growing and we appreciate all your donations.

Mule Jump shirts and caps are still available at the library and at City Hall. Be sure to get yours before they are all gone!

See you at the library!
