POWELL, Mo. -- The McDonald County Sheriff's Department continues following up leads in connection with an Oct. 22 home invasion and murder of a rural Jane man, according to Sheriff Michael Hall.

Hall said deputies are talking to acquaintances and family members and are seeking a subpoena for cell phones stolen from the home that were later recovered.

Hall said deputies were dispatched to a residence at 222 Donnely Lane at 9:07 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, for a victim with a possible gunshot wound. Donnely Lane is located north of Highway 90 in eastern McDonald County.

Hall said upon arrival deputies found Rodney Frederick, 35, dead from a multiple gunshot wounds.
