Times office to close

The business office of the Times of Northeast Benton County in Pea Ridge will close June 4 and move its operations to the Rogers Morning News office at 313 S. Second St. in Rogers. The Times will continue publishing on its regular production schedule, covering the important events in and around Pea Ridge.

Closing the office in leased space in Pea Ridge and moving operations to a building owned by the paper's parent company, NWA Media, will improve the paper's financial position, according to publisher Kent Marts.

"The Times is an institution in Pea Ridge and northeast Benton County," Marts said. "This paper is important to the communities it covers and we're committed to keeping it strong. Consolidating operations helps us do that."

Changes in the way customers conduct business with the newspaper reduced the number of people coming to the office, Marts said, reducing the need for the space. Customers can still contact the newspaper through its existing telephone and fax numbers and conduct classified advertising business online at nwaonline.com/classifieds.

The newspaper's phone number will remain the same, 479-451-1196. The fax number will also remain the same: 479-451-9456.

The newspaper's email address remains [email protected].

The mailing address remains P.O. Box 25, Pea Ridge AR 72751.

Circulation issues are handled by calling 800-482-1182.

Advertising needs can be addressed by calling sales manager Dani Beeman at 479-640-5307.

Customers can also visit the office at 313 S. Second St. in Rogers.

Meanwhile, the paper will continue to be published with the same high standards and award-winning content.

"Annette Beard, our managing editor, works tirelessly to cover northeast Benton County, especially Pea Ridge -- that will not change. She lives in Pea Ridge, loves the town and the people who make it so special," Marts said. "She is not going to stop doing that. She doesn't do that because of the building she works in. She does it because a newspaper is not a building, it's a way of life."
