37th Ozark Quilt Fair

Entries are now being accepted for the 37th Ozark Quilt Fair scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History. Quilters and quilt lovers are invited to display new and antique quilts for show and sale on the museum grounds. The entry fee is $10 per exhibitor.

Cemetery Preservation

Holly Hope, special projects historian with the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program, will present, "Bringing it Back: Basic Cemetery Maintenance" at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History. Hope will discuss cleaning and documenting gravestones, as well as safety, repair and straightening techniques, materials and tools, and landscaping issues.

The program is co-sponsored by the Washington County and Benton County Cemetery Preservation Groups.

Civil War Medicine

Alan Thompson, museum collections manager at Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park, will present, "The Splendors and Horrors of a Battlefield," a program based on medical records from the 1862 Battle of Prairie Grove, at noon Wednesday, July 16, at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History.

Photo Identification Group
