Glade meeting set

The Glade Community Historical Society quarterly meeting is set for Sunday, Jan. 26. The guest speaker will be Jerry Nichols, a retired minister, columnist and active member of the Pea Ridge Historical Society. The public is welcome to attend.

Meeting about special election set

Pat Adams, justice of peace position 6, is holding a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, at the community room in the community of the Pea Ridge Emergency Services Building. The meeting is set to dicuss the new EMS fee that will be voted on in the special election on Tuesday, Feb. 11.

Dance slated

SELIGMAN, Mo.-- Seligman Chamber Dance will start at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at the Seligman Chamber Event Center on Missouri Highway 37 north. Frosty Garland and the Road Hogs will play.

Admission is $4 each; teens 18 and under are free. Bring a snack and enjoy the fun. No alcohol or smoking allowed.

NEBCO fire beansupper set

GARFIELD -- The Northeast Benton County Volunteer Fire-EMS Department is hosting a free bean soup supper from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at the NEBCO Community Center, U.S. Hwy. 62 and South Wimpy Jones Road, Garfield.

As guests of the NEBCO firemen, area residents are invited to enjoy bean soup, ham 'n beans, cornbread and drink, all free in appreciation of and as a thank you for their continued support of NEBCO VFD.

Serving is from 4 to 7 p.m. or until the food runs out, according to NEBCO officials.
