3:50 p.m. A set of keys were found on Weston Street and turned into the Police Department.
3:35 p.m. A resident of Klauss Lane reported finding a dent in her car that she believes was caused while she was parked at Dollar General the previous day.
9:30 p.m. A resident reported finding a large pile of trash dumped at the bottom of the hill near the creek on Cardin Road.
11:36 p.m. An anonymous caller reported suspicious circumstances involving two cars parked near the basketball court at the City Park. Police found two people, one of whom had been drinking beer and had called a friend for a ride home. They were advised the car could not be left parked at the City Park.
Wednesday, Oct. 9
12 p.m. A resident of Hallack Lane reported a vicious dog chased her. Police were initially unable to locate the dog, but were called back at 1 p.m. for the dog chasing chickens. The dog charged, growled and barked at the police officer as well as at another person in the area. A resident of the subdivision told police she was afraid of the dog which regularly chased her and she had been trapped inside her home because of it.
The dog was tranquilized, captured and taken to Pea Ridge Vet Clinic.
2:20 p.m. A resident of Nemett Drive reported the private information was used by someone else in a fraud.
The incident was forwarded to a local jurisdiction in Florida upon the advice of an agent with Homeland Security Investigations.
Thursday, Oct. 10
12:26 a.m. As a result of a traÿ c stop on West Pickens Road, police arrestedMichael Oliveras, 23, Pea Ridge, for driving on a suspended driver’s license (suspended for DWI) and no proof of insurance, and Angel Diaz, 22, (a male) for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Another passenger was taken home and the vehicle was towed.
8:15 a.m. Police were dispatched to Standing Oaks subdivision for four dogs running loose. Three dogs were captured and impounded at Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic; one was returned to its owner, Christina Mae Moser, 29, Pea Ridge, who was cited for dog at large.
8:15 a.m. Police were dispatched to O.D. Bancroft for dog running at large.
Police were unable to locate the dog or complainant.
9 a.m. A resident of Weston Loop reported a handgun was missing from his residence.There was no sign of forced entry.
1 p.m. A resident of East Harris Street reported fraudulent use of a credit card.
Friday, Oct. 11
10:45 a.m. A resident of Van Dorn reported fraud involving phone calls from someone telling her she had won something even though she told them to stop calling.
2:18 p.m. A possible overdose was reported at Pea Ridge High School involving an 18-year-old female. She was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
4:45 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Mary Phelps Drive for a verbal disturbance.The adult female reported her 13-year-old daughter was being very disrespectful and would not listen. Police spoke with the youth about listening to her mother.
9:21 p.m. A resident of Gen. Franz Sigel Drive reported that someone had destroyed the pumpkin she had sitting on her front porch.
Saturday, Oct. 12
8:20 a.m. Police assisted Benton County Environmental oÿcers on a case involving dumped trash on Coler Drive in the county. Apparently the suspect, Rick L. David, 46, Pea Ridge, and Kenneth Lewis, 21, Pea Ridge, had dumped trash at several other sites in the area including on East Harris Road and on Guthrie Road. The men were issued citations.
3:47 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Van Dorn for a disturbance
5:30 p.m. Police received a report about a 10-year-old girl being assault by her step-mother in connection
with a physical disturbance reported
on Van Dorn Street. The incident was
forwarded to the Benton County Pros
ecutor’s Oÿ ce.
5:58 p.m. Police were dispatched to
Nelson Court for an animal complaint;
they were given a small black and
brown Dachshund puppy which had
been found in the neighborhood. It was
taken to Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.
10:41 p.m. Police received a report
of a reckless driver on Arkansas High
way 72, but were unable to locate the
vehicle.
Sunday, Oct. 13
9:50 a.m. A resident of John W. Mont
gomery Circle reported a decorated
pumpkin had been stolen from his
front porch and was found smashed at
another residence.
10:24 a.m. Police were dispatched to
a residence on Van Dorn Street for a dis
turbance involving a man and his wife
arguing about their 2-year-old child
whom the woman had taken from the
home. Police advised the couple that
nothing illegal had occurred and that
they needed to work out the situation
peaceably.
2:01 p.m. Police arrested David
Michael Coleman, 25, Pea Ridge, on an
outstanding felony warrant for Rogers.
8:01 p.m. A one-vehicle accident
at Castle Rental and Pawn on South
Curtis Avenue was reported.The driver,
Jazmine Hyytia, 44, Garfield, reported
she attempted to turn into the south
entrance of Castle Rental to turn
around, but missed the driveway and
got stuck in the ditch.
7:48 p.m. Police were dispatched to
a residence on West Patton Street for a
disturbance. According to the report,
a woman was teaching a teen-age girl
to drive and upon parking and exiting
the vehicle, their neighbor yelled at her
accusing her of driving into her yard
and almost running over her dog. Police
found no evidence to substantiate the
claim and spoke to the woman who
yelled at the girl advising her not to
have contact with her again.
Monday, Oct. 14
5:17 a.m. Police were dispatched to
the scene of a one-vehicle accident on
Hayden Road (Ark. Hwy. 265) involving
a vehicle driven by Quinton Sky Porter,
18, Washburn, Mo., who reported he
was southbound when he saw a deer in
the roadway running straight at him. He
told police he swerved to the right, driv
ing off the roadway and striking a tree.
