Pea Ridge man arrested for sexual assault

A 24-year-old Pea Ridge man was arrested for fourth-degree sexual assault Tuesday, Oct. 1, after police received a report of him having sex numerous times with a 15-year-old girl.

Caleb Dewayne Watts, 24, Pea Ridge, was booked into the Benton County Jail for felony sexual assaultand misdemeanor sexual assault.

Watts listed an address in Bella Vista also.

The victim was a 15-year-old girl from Rogers, according to the probable cause a◊davit. The girl told an interviewer with the Child AdvocacyCenter that she had sex with the man on four separate occasions. The interview was also observed by an investigator with the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division.

The girl said the incidents happened at a residence in Pea Ridge, while she was staying overnight with her girlfriend. She said she was not forced and the male told her shedidn’t have to do anything she didn’t want to, according to the a◊davit.

According to Arkansas state law, fourth-degree sexual assault is when the perpetrator is 20 years of age or older and the victim is 16 years or younger.

Rape is defined as sexual intercourse with another person either by force, or when the victim is incapable of consent for a variety of reasons.
