Come by Library Open House today

What a time we all have had this past week with the ice and snow! Everything seems to be thawing and melting.

Many of you brave souls ventured out on Wednesday and Thursday and paid a visit to the library. Nothing like the lure of a good book or a computer to get people to leave their warm homes.

For those of you who may not have heard we have hired Lee Taylor as a library aide. Lee has volunteered at the library several times in the past few years and we are so excited to welcome him as an employee.

One of the benefits of having another person working at the library is that it will allow us to be open more hours. Beginning Monday, Jan. 6, our new hours will be: 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday; 10 a.m. until noon and 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.Wednesday and Thursday. Our goal is make the library more accessible for more people.

The library will be closed all Christmas Week and will re-open on Tuesday, Dec. 31. We will be closed New Year's day but will be open on Thursday, Jan. 2.

If you are reading this column on Wednesday, Dec. 18, I hope you haven't forgotten that today is the annual Library Christmas Open House. Come by and have a cup of cider check out enough books to see you through the holidays..

On behalf of the Library Board of Directors, Lee and I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a very happy and prosperous New Year! Thank you for all your support this past year; without you we would not have been able to grow and expand into our new home.

See you at the library!
