Margaret Caroline Brown

Margaret Caroline Brown, 72, of Bentonville, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Bentonville Manor Nursing Home.

She was born Nov.

13, 1941, at Bentonville, to RobertMcAnelly and Terry Delilah Willis McAnelly.

She grew up in this area and moved back from North Little Rock several years ago to make her home.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert McAnelly, her mother Terry Willis Cherry and step-father Charles David Cherry.

Survivors include three sons, David Cox and wife Jennifer of Rogers, Mike Cox and wife Helen of Atlanta, Ga., and Scott Fleishauer and wife Shelly of Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Cherry Faul and husband Tom of Bentonville;

and seven grandchildren.

Cremation burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec.

11 at Bentonville City Cemetery.

John B. Bunk

John B. Bunk, 79, of Avoca, died Dec. 8, 2013, in Fayetteville. He was bornon June 22, 1934, to Mathew and Anna (Labuda) Bunk in Portage, Pa.

He was a post Korean War veteran, serving his country in the Army from 1957-1959. He retired in 1999 from Conair Corp., where he was a supervisor. He enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends, playing cards, cooking, playing Polish music and watching football, especially the Cleveland Browns, for whom he was an avid fan.

He also loved his dog, Brandy, and two cats, Pepper and Princess.

Survivors include his nephews, Robert (Carol) Burke of Rogers, Leo (Laurie) Frost of Avoca, Phillip (Sharrie) Frost Sr. and Robert (Lori) Frost, both of Pea Ridge; nieces, Susan Petree (Richard) of Rogers, Mary Cheryl Taylor of Fayetteville, Carol Taylor of Bella Vista, Terry Healey (Richard) and Stacie Ingram (Darrel), both of Rogers;

sister, Anne Taylor (Paul) of Rogers; best friend, Raymond Hartman of Avoca;

and many other great- and great-greatnieces and nephews who were special to him as well.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m.

Doris Belle Collins

Doris Belle Collins, 88, of Pea Ridge, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at her home.

She was born Oct. 21, 1925, in Zeona, S.D., to Hugo Dunnebecke and Anna M.

Thompson.

She moved to Arkansas in1992 to make her home. She was a jockey and rancher in South Dakota. She was in the full time volunteer ministry for the Bentonville Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witness congregation and loved to talk about the Bible.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Collins; one brother; and two sisters.

Survivors include her son Glendale Collins and wife Sara of Pea Ridge; four grandchildren, Kenneth, Scott, Derek Collins and Kassie Gilmore; and fi ve great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be set at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Tracy Christine Elder, 49, of Washburn, Mo., died Thursday, Dec. 5, at her home. She was born Oct. 19, 1964, in Belzoni, Miss., to Martin Charles Barnett and Betty Ellen Hinson.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, cross stitch, making picture albums and had an aquarium.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband Je◊Elder of the home; a son, Je◊rey Elder of Washburn; a daughter, Tabatha Austen and husband Jeremy of Washburn; three brothers, Jim Barnett and wife Cathy of Centerton, Curtis Barnett and wife Melissa of Washburn and Matt Barnett of Lebanon, Mo.;

a sister, Terry Skelton and husband Johnny of Gateway, Ark.; two grandchildren, Brayden and Adin; and her close friend, Rikki Mahoney of Bentonville.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge.

Service is at 11 a.m. with Brother Ronnie Schlinker o◊ciating.

Burial will be at Pratt Cemetery in Garfi eld.

Billy Wayne Henson

Billy Wayne Henson, 55, of Pea Ridge, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at MercyHospital in Rogers.

He was born Sept.

22, 1958, to Gene Henson and Sue Reed Henson in Rogers.

He was a lifelong resident of Pea Ridge and graduated from Pea Ridge High School. He worked at Daisy Manufacturing of Rogers for 18 years and was owner and operator of Auto Center in Pea Ridge for 10 years.

He was a dirt-track driver on “Old 12” for six years, enjoyed watching NASCAR on TV, loved to tell stories, work in the garden, and take his grandsons riding in the golf cart.

He loved to be with his friends and family, his nieces and nephews all called him “Uncle Bull.” He was a member of downtown Church of Christ in Rogers.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Henson;

one son, Matt Henson; and one sister, Brenda Schooley.

Survivors include his wife, Vickie Day Henson whom he married Dec. 29, 1980; daughter, Heather Wade, husband Mark, and grandsons Khale and Kolby all of Pea Ridge; his mother, Sue Henson of Pea Ridge;

two brothers, Gary Hensonand wife Lisa of Bentonville, and David Henson and wife Toni of Pea Ridge; one sister, Donna DeWitt of Pea Ridge; brother-in-law, Bruce Schooley of Seligman, Mo.;

and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was 6-8 p.m.

Monday, Dec. 2, at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge.

Service was 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at First Baptist Church.

Burial was in Pea Ridge Cemetery.

Randy Wayne Kelly

Randy Wayne Kelly, 63, of Rogers died Saturday, Dec.

7, 2013, at Mercy MedicalCenter in Rogers. He was born in Oklahoma City on Nov.

8, 1950, to Jack and Imogene (Smith) Kelly.

He was a graduate of Livermore High School in Livermore, Calif., where he was a wrestler. He graduated the University of Arkansas in 1972 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and advertising, and was a member of the Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity. He was a Mason and member of the Fayetteville Lodge. He and his wife, Jeanne, owned Home Gardeners Landscaping.

He enjoyed fi shing, hunting, gardening and could fi x just about anything. He was a fan of soccer, and supported his kids in their dreams and aspirations.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Imogene (Smith) Kelly.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanne (Sandlin) Kelly of the home; father and stepmother, Jack and Irene Kelly of Pea Ridge; children, Shanna Kelly and Megan Kelly, both of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Jacob Bettes and wife, Jakarta, of Granby, Mo.; a sister, Joyce Mader and husband, Robert, of Rogers; grandmother, Virginia Wiley; and grandchildren, Nicole, Jaden, Parker, Lucas, Liam and Lilly;

nieces, Patience Pierce and Bethany Mader; and nephew, Anthony Mader.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec.

11, 2013, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday in the Rollins Funeral Home chapel.

Burial will follow in Tuck’s Chapel Cemetery.

Luedell M. Kley

Luedell M. Kley, 83, a resident of Lincoln, died Dec. 3, 2013, in her home. She wasborn Jan.

30, 1930, in Brownfi eld, Texas, to Ira Dewitt and Mary Nealie Green Oden.

She was a member of the Central United Methodist Church in Lincoln, Ark.

She lived a life of service to the community and a deep commitment to veterans and their families. She was the Arkansas Apple Festival chairperson for seven years. Luedell gave countless hours to help make Miss Apple Harvest Queen Pageant a successful and benefi cial event for young ladies. For many years her weekly local news column in the “Lincoln Leader” was widely read and appreciated.

Luedell served several years on the Washington County Red Cross board of directors. She was the director of the Washington County Volunteer Emergency Medical Service virtually from its inception.

She taught Sunday school for 10 years.

The Lincoln Area Citizen of the Year award was presented to Luedell by the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.

Her commitment to the veterans was refl ected in her thousands of hours of volunteer work at the Fayetteville Veterans Administration facility for more than 30 years. She served for many years as the secretary/treasurer of the Lincoln VFW Post 4675 Auxiliary. Luedell was a president of the Lincoln American Legion Auxiliary and an Auxiliary District o◊cer for several years.

Mrs. Kley had a great commitment to serving her country and community throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Kley in November of 1988.

Survivors include one daughter, Carrie Reanell “Rainy” Laycox and her husband, Russell, of Lincoln, Ark.; one grandson, Damon Cabot Laycox and his wife, Tammy, of Pea Ridge, Ark.;

and three great-grandchildren, Angela Joyce Laycox of Pea Ridge, Mitchell Ryan Laycox of Farmington and Freedom Shiloh Laycox,also of Pea Ridge.

Visitation was from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service was at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, 1 p.m. at Lincoln Central United Methodist Church in Lincoln, Ark.

Burial was in Sugar Hill Cemetery.

Aleta Faye McGee

Aleta Faye (Rounds) McGee, 81, of Bentonville, Ark., died Wednesday, Dec.4, 2013, at Ashley Health & Rehab in Rogers.

She was born Dec.

19, 1931, at Garfi eld, toCecil Loyd McGinnis and Leora Fay Byler McGinnis. She worked at Hudson Foods as an accounting supervisor before retiring.

She loved music and played several instruments. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting and was a wonderful cook. She was a member of Bentonville Church of Christ.

She waspreceded in death by her parents; a sister, Marie Smith; and a granddaughter Felicia Rounds.

Survivors include her husband Virgil McGee; two sons, Glen Eugene Rounds and Melinda of Garfi eld, and Bradley Allen McGee and Jill of Bella Vista;

one daughter, Kathy Jean Powers and John of New Orleans, La.; fi ve grandchildren, Seph, Melissa, Beau, Lyndsay and Lauren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shelby Prim of Garfield and Evelyn Lynch of Tahlequah, Okla.; and one brother, Marvin McGinnis of Garfi eld.

Visitation was noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at Bentonville Church of Christ.

Funeral service was at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, at Bentonville Church of Christ with Dr. Derrick Lynch o◊ciating.

Kenneth Gordon Moreland

Kenneth Gordon Moreland, 66, of Pea Ridge, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, at his home. He was born June 23, 1947, at Jamesville, Wis., to Ernest and Doreen Moreland.

He was a baker for Harris Bakery in Rogers for 18 years. He enjoyed fi shing, camping, and being with his daughter, Amy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Clarence Moreland and Ronald Moreland.

Survivors include his wife Vickie Moreland and daughter Amy of the home;

three children, JJ Moreland, June Moreland, and Darcy Moreland all of Monona, Iowa; seven step-children, Jason Young, Grace Young and husband Jose Perea, Charity Young, Jesse Shriner, Faith Young, and Seth Young all of Cave Springs, and Angel Schriner of Pea Ridge; four brothers, Jerry Moreland of Louisiana, Paul Moreland and Linda of Madison, Wis., Ray Moreland and Debbie of Dalton, Wis., and Travis Moreland and Patty of Fond Du Lac, Wis.; six sisters, Nancy Moreland of Waunakee, Wis., Jeannette Frye and Herb of Columbus, Wisconsin, Vicki Marshall and Stanley of Marshall, Wisconsin, Sharon Si◊ord of California, Karen Weissmann and Jerry of Columbus, Wis., and Cheryl Heintz and Harley of Westfield, Wis.; his father and mother-in-law, Edward and Paulette Schriner of Pea Ridge; two brothersin-law Bryon Schriner of Ohio, and Michael Schriner of Pea Ridge; three sistersin-law, Linda Schriner of Illinois, Susin Schriner of Pea Ridge, and Evelyn Schriner and Kenneth Foster of Pea Ridge; many grandchildren;

Henry Paul Pendergraft

Henry Paul Pendergraft, 88, of Blackwell, Okla., died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, in theDeaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born on May 10, 1925, in Jacket, Mo., to Wesley and Mamaie(Scott) Pendergraft.

He grew up in Jacket attending Buzzard Glory School. He entered the United States Army on June 7, 1944, and was honorably discharged on Dec. 15, 1944.

Following his discharge he began working in the C.C.

Camp where he met Bobbie Moran and they married in 1946 in Cassville, Mo. They moved to Colorado for a year before returning to Cassville. They moved to Blackwell in 1949 where he began working as a core maker for Acme Foundry and worked there for 31 years.

On Oct. 5, 1955, he married Betty Arnold in Newkirk, Okla., and they settled in Blackwell. He later worked as the custodian for the Blackwell Public Library for 10 years.

He married Karen Hamburg on March 31, 2007, in Blackwell.

He was a member of the Church of Christ, Veterans of Foreign Wars, A.A.R.P., and the American Legion. He enjoyed gardening, watching western shows and movies, attending family reunions, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Bobbie and Betty; a brother, Grover Pendergraft; and seven sisters, Hannah and Anna Pendergraft, Cecil Bray, Leo Arnold, Ruth Cutbirth, Mamaie Laughlin and Lucille Cockrell.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Seacat of Blackwell;

two daughters, Ilene Gautney and husband Darrell of Seligman, Mo., and Etta Webster and husband Russell of Deer Creek, Okla.;

four sons, Richard Pendergraft and wife Sandy of Seligman, Mo., Eddie Pendergraft of Blackwell, Ronald Pendergraft and wife Sonja of Newton, Kansas, and Donald Pendergraft and wife Kim of Blackwell; two sisters, Mary Southard of Portland, Ore., and Lora Fleming of Wellington, Kansas; 21 grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren; and fi ve great-great-grandchildren.

Services were at 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, in the Blackwell Church of Christ with Lanny Jobe o◊ciating.

Burial followed in the Mt.

Olive Cemetery in Nardin.

Casketbearers were Jimmy Rhea, Luke Rhea, Bob Tull, Neil Pendergraft, Dee Blackburn and Tommy LeClair.

Serving as honorary casketbearers were Brandi Neal, Carlin Pendergraft, Rachel Pendergraft, Courtney Pendergraft, Ashley Pendergraft and Brittney Pendergraft.

A memorial has been established in his honor with the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for diabetes research in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, OK 74631.

Leroy Rhodes

Leroy Rhodes, 55, of Rogers, died Dec. 6, 2013, in Bentonville. Hewas born June 4, 1958, in Fort Carson, Colo., to Melvin Rhodes and Rita Furrer.

He was united inmarriage to Cynthia Diane Orr on Aug. 29, 1980, and they enjoyed over 30 years of marriage. He worked for 22 years as a buyer for Wal-Mart. More recently, he was the district sales manager for the “Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.” He enjoyed fi shing, shooting pool, playing poker, landscaping, and was an avid Arkansas Razorback and Kansas City Chiefs fan. Leroy would go out of his way to help others and loved to spend time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy of the home; parents, Melvin and Rita of Rogers; sons, Joshua Hicks and wife, Eva, of Centerton, and Matthew Rhodes and wife, Kortney, of Pea Ridge; daughter, Christy Hicks of Rogers; brothers, Je◊Rhodes of Gravette and Dusty Rhodes of Rogers; sisters, Terry Von Tersch of Pea Ridge, Shirley Taylor of Powell, Mo., and Tammy Knox of Centerton; grandchildren, Valeria Aguirre, Andrea Aguirre, Gabriela Hicks and Madison Rhodes; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, in Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3800 W Walnut, Rogers.

Joseph A. Wilson

Joseph A. Wilson, 95, of Jane, Mo., died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 at Fayetteville Veterans Home, Fayetteville, Ark. He was born July 6, 1918, in Hillsboro, Ill., to Charles M. and Hattie A. Wilson.

He was the husband of the Pearl Wilson, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Wilson served in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 20 years and 20 days of service. He was a B36 Crew Chief at Edwards Air Force Base, Edwards, Calif., during the time that Chuck Yaeger was a test pilot for the Air Force. After retiring from the Air Force, Joe and Pearl bought a farm in the Ozark Hills and raised Black Angus cattle.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Donald J. Wilson.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Weaver and husband John of Leola, Penn., and Nancy Metcalf of Coppell, Texas; and two grandsons, Steven H. Shifl ett Jr. and Garrett Metcalf.

There is no visitation scheduled.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at Pratt Cemetery in Garfi eld.

Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
