God bless America concert slated

BELLA VISTA - The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at Riordan Hall in Bella Vista. In observance of the Dec. 7, 1941, and the Sept. 11, 2001, attack on America, the 17-piece orchestra, the JM Band, will perform a patriotic concert with music of this era. The program will open with and feature the Honor Guard of Bella Vista.

The concert is a free patriotic community event.

Band manager is Ron Thurston and music director is Bill Punch. Steve Gray, military adviser to U.S. Senator Boozman and student Alex Collins from Springdale will give brief patriotic talks.

The concert is sponsored by the Veterans Council of Northwest Arkansas (Veterans Wall of Honor), the Bella Vista Village Property Owners Association (POA), and the JM band. Refreshments will be furnished by the Bella Vista POA.

Gospel open mic night set

SELIGMAN, Mo. - All Gospel Open Mic Night will be at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Seligman Chamber Event Center on Mo. Hwy. 37.

All singers and players are welcome to come. Admission is free to the public.

A donation bucket will be passed around. Snacks are available.

Holiday train ride set

SELIGMAN, Mo. - Seligman Christmas Polar Express train ride will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Seligman City Community building on the south end of Main St. by City Hall. Santawill be on the train to pass out a bag of goodies to the children. The train will go to Rogers, and back, no stopping.

Tickets are $15 for adults,$10 for children 12 and under, Upper Dome is $30 for adults, and $15 for children 12 and under.
