Swerve, head-on crash sends 2 to Missouri hospitals

Driving west near Pea Ridge National Military Park on Sunday afternoon, Adam Norman was shocked to see the pickup truck going the other direction swerve and sideswipe a car then collide head-on with the pickup truck behind him.

“I turned around to go back and render assistance,” Norman said. His wife, Kathy, called 911. He checked the people in both vehicles. He determined the driver of the eastbound truck was the most at risk, so hestayed with him until the NEBCO ambulance arrived.

An Arkansas State Police report shows that at 2:14 p.m. a 2000 Ford Ranger driven by Robert Milne, 43, of Washburn, Mo., was traveling east and crossed the centerline, where it sideswiped a 2013 Dodge Dart driven west by Margaret Griffin, 51, of Charlotte, N.C., then collided head-on with a 2005 Chevy pickup driven by Ronald S. Suddath, 46, of Garfield. Suddath and Milne were transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo. Griffin was not injured.
