Library Notes: Volunteers wanted for nail removal

— I made a fast trip to St. Louis on Sunday and came home on Tuesday.

It was hard to leave that beautiful baby grandson.

Baby and parents are doing well. I may be heading back for a couple of weeks to help out. I offered to bring Camden home with me for a few weeks while mom recoups but that idea didn’t fly!

Thanks to Dottie for filling in for me. I had expected spring break week to be busy at the library but was not much busier than usual. Hope the rainy weather didn’t keep families from their planned activities.

There are lots of activitygoing on at the new library. The Library Board should have the corrected drawings at the March 27 meeting and, if we all agree, things will begin to move forward.

We still need some guys/ gals to remove nails from a large pile of 2- by 4-inch boards that we will reuse.

Call the library at 451-8368 so we can set up a time.

There are a number of new books on the shelvesand my largest book order finally shipped the middle of last week. Was told that eight books are on back order. I will try to get a list of all new the books posted in the library and will be happy to add your name to the reserve list. Only one new book per patron please.

Book donations are still coming in and if all goes well we will have another big sale in late April or early May. There are still a large number of new and almost new books - paperback and hardback - for sale in the library.

Prices range from 10 cents to two dollars. Can’t beatthat price. Also have a lot of magazines.

A number of our library patrons have been ill or have had surgery and we hope they are all recuperating nicely and will soon be visiting us at the library.◊◊◊
