PEA RIDGE — Chicken cook and rummage sale slated
Pea Ridge Youth Sports will hold a chicken cook from 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at Wright’s Car Wash, Pea Ridge.
Prices are $2 for a quarter of a chicken and $3 for half of a chicken. Preorders can be made by contacting Marty Adams at 640-4749.
The group will also have a rummage sale on Saturday, April 14. A trailer will be present during the chicken cook for anyone who would like to drop off donations for the rummage sale.
Money raised from these events will be used for new ball fields and equipment, according to board president Darin Wright.
Athletic passes
Athletic passes are on sale at the Pea Ridge School adminstration office. Senior citizens 62 years of age and older may receive free passes. Passes are available for $32 for adults and $24 for students. Blackhawk Baseball
Pea Ridge beat Elkins 6-1.
Ryan Roughton and Austin Wichert both had two hits. Ethan Higgins was the winning pitcher.
