Fall or spring? Rake or clean?

— This weather has me confused. Each day I wonder if I should do spring cleaning or rake the yard.

One day I did a little of both and the next morning I could hardly get out of bed.

A couple of people told me they had never heard of a stone bruise. It made me doubt myself, but later, several people spoke of it and had first-hand knowledge. The doubt made me call my sister, and she said she’d only had one in her life and, yes, that was how they were treated. I wasn’t surprised she’d only had one- she was always in the house!

The other lady in Iowa told me that she and her sister were in charge of raising the four younger ones and, yes, she’d treated many stone bruises and they had to always be on watch for anything like that because blood poisoning was a parent’s nightmare. There was no cure for “lock-jaw” so redstreaks were instant concern.

Dorothy Williams and another lady were good to mention that they knew the term. At one time, we were all busy sampling the chili at the Garfield Chili Cook-Off.

We received exciting news Sunday that a date has been set for the Marty Sells wedding. Marty is Otto and Yo’s son who came to stay with his dad after Yo’s death. The congregation has taken him for one of their own.

The Rev. Timmons reminded us that the prayer meetings would continuethrough Lent and be decided after that, and the latest storms gave a need for a lot of prayers.

Happy birthday this month to Adam Kinney.

I have a question that I need help with. If an article is advertised at four for $10, the price of each is $2.50. If you only buy two of them, do you still get that same price?
