Incidents reported to the Pea Ridge
Police Department this week include: Monday, Jan. 16
10 a.m. A resident of Dodge Street
reported the theft of a vehicle license
off a trailer.
2 p.m. An employee reported a gaso
line drive-off involving the driver of a
dark-colored SUV getting $75 worth of
gas and leaving without paying. Police
made a traffic stop on the vehicle at
Arkansas Highway 72 near I-540 and
asked the driver to return to the store.
The driver claimed it was a mistake and
paid for the gas.
4:20 p.m. A resident on Barris Lane
reported a small dog wearing a sweater
running around the neighborhood. The
dog was apprehended and taken to
Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic. When the
owner, Rhonda White, 52, claimed her
dog, she was cited for dog at large.
5 p.m. A one-vehicle accident involv
ing Kenneth Debevoise, 91, Pineville,
Mo., running off the road and striking
two wooden pillars in front of the
library on East Pickens Road. He was
cited for failing to maintain control of
his vehicle.
Tuesday, Jan. 17
12 p.m. A resident of John W. Mont
gomery Street reported receiving a let
ter and check in the mail with a request
for funds.
Wednesday, Jan. 18
An employee of Fred’s Pharmacy
reported fraud in an attempt to procure
a prescription.
Thursday, Jan. 19
1:41 a.m. Alarm at Fred’s, the build
ing was secure.
7:47 a.m. Suspicious circumstances
involving a resident reporting seeing
juveniles running through a yard off
Hazelton Road where he knew the
resident was not at home. Police were
unable to locate the suspects.
12:35 p.m. A woman called reporting
a possible kidnapping because she said
her cousin texted that he had gotten
married while drunk and was unable to
get away from his wife. Upon investiga
tion, police discovered the man had a
outstanding warrant. Jason Eugene
Johnson, 27, Pea Ridge, was arrested on
a arrant for West Fork Police and taken
to the Benton County Jail.
3:16 p.m. An unattended death of a
70-year-old male on Pike Street.
3:26 p.m. A two-vehicle accident in
the parking lot at Pea Ridge High School
between Matthew T. Law, 16, Pea
Ridge, and Mary C. Roughton, 39, Pea
Ridge, involving Law backing into the
vehicle driven by Roughton.
3:30 p.m. A resident on Ryan Road
reported a truck pulling a trailer had
turned around in his driveway and
hit and damaged his fence. Police ar
rested the suspect, Alex Hammond, 19,
Pineville, Mo., for fictitious tags and no
insurance.The truck he was driving and
trailer he was pulling were impounded.
6:15 p.m. An employee at Marvin’s
IGA reported shoplifting by two females
who, it was reported, when confronted
by the employee, fled and got into a
vehicle driven by a third person. Police
were unable to locate the suspects.
Friday, Jan. 20 5:13 p.m. Dog running loose on Mc-
Nair Street. It was picked up and taken
to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.
7:40 a.m. A dog, possibly vicious, was
reported running loose on North Davis
Street. The dog was picked up and taken
to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.
6:45 p.m. A resident on Benton re
ported a prowler.
7:05 p.m. As the result of two welfare
checks on a resident at King Lane Apart
ments, police arrested Patricia Strain,
50, Pea Ridge, for refusal to submit and
communicating a false alarm. Strain
was reported to have texted a suicide
threat to her former boyfriend. Police
were called back to the apartment at
11 p.m., at which time Strain was taken
into custody.
Saturday, Jan. 21
11:20 a.m. Alarm, Pea Ridge High
School, it was accidentally set off by an
employee.
5:25 p.m. Police received a report of a
male, possibly intoxicated, walking on
North Harvey Wakefield.The report was
determined to be unfounded.
Sunday, Jan. 22
12:30 a.m. Angela K. Dutton, 39, Pea
Ridge, was arrested for public intoxica
tion atWhite Oak Station.
8:30 p.m. A resident of Charles Street
reported criminal mischief involving
youngsters throwing eggs at the garage
door.
10:37 p.m. Police were called to a res
idence on North Davis with a report of a
physical disturbance. The investigation
resulted in the arrest of Jason McEvans,
25, Pea Ridge, for domestic battery III
and on a Benton County warrant, and
Jackson L. Abercrombie, 23, Pea Ridge,
for domestic battery.
11:13 p.m. A resident of Benton
Drive reported finding his vehicle door
open, the dome light on and the glove
compartment opened and rummaged
through.
Monday, Jan. 23
9:31 a.m. Agency assist to Pea Ridge
EMS that responded to a call of an
unconscious patient at a residence on
Luke Street.
10:09 a.m. Assisted BCSO with a theft
call on North Arkansas Highway 94.
10:50 a.m. Three juveniles - ages
12, 14 and 15 - were apprehended
after they were seen in a field south
of Hazelton Road and west of Wilson
Street. The three were seen in the field
shooting a BB gun. They fled from po
lice, but were caught and taken to the
police station where they were turned
over to their parents after being issued
no trespass warnings.
12:50 p.m. Vandalism to school prop
erty at the football field was reported
involving spray painted profanities and
broken door handles. Damages were
estimated to be valued at about $400.
1:45 p.m. Theft reported by a resi
dent of Andy Buck Road who reported
that her son’s iPod was missing after he
spent the night with a friend on Lynn
Drive.
6:02 p.m. A resident on North Curtis
Avenue reported harassment involving
an adult allegedly cursing at children
who were playing in the street near her
residence.
9:07 p.m. The report of a reckless
driver resulted in a traffic stop at Ryan
Road and Slack Street and the arrest of
the driver, Ray Dillow, 41, Bentonville,
for DWI, failure to signal, failure to stop
at stop sign and driving left of center. He
was booked into the Benton County Jail.
