PEA RIDGE — Pea Ridge High School AP Biology class will take the annual “Trip of a Lifetime” during spring break this year. They will be traveling to Gulf Shores, Ala. They will leave on the morning of Saturday, March 17, and return Thursday, March 22. This will be the fifth AP trip in six years. Other trips taken were to: Grand Canyon, Gulf Shores, Ala., Durango, Colo., and Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota.
Many activities are planned. The class will travel to Dauphin Island and tour the Dauphin Island Sea Lab, take an airboat tour of the bayou above Mobile, Ala., tour the USS Alabama, go on a dolphin tour and tour Fort Morgan, a Civil War fort on Mobile Bay. They will also try to find time to do some parasailing or even deep sea fishing, according to teacher Tim Pate.
The group works various fundraisers and received donations from various organizations including the Pea Ridge Optimist Club.
