— Dorothy Jean Bailey, 91, of Pea Ridge, died Feb. 26, 2012, in Springdale. She was born Aug. 24, 1920, in Parsons, Kan., to Phillip Henry and Grace May Elliot Bohrer.

She was a legal secretary and a member of the Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron F. Bailey, and son, Douglas E. Bailey.

Survivors include her son, Carl P. Bailey of Mena, Ark.;

four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements were by Benton County Funeral Home, Rogers, Ark.

Interment was in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Parsons, Kan.

Roxie Jewell Crelia

Roxie Jewell Crelia, 101, of Anderson, Mo., died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at her home.

She was born Aug.17, 1910, in Geary, Okla., to Curtis L.

and Willie (Parker) Sellersoriginally, from Tennessee.

She graduated from high school in 1928 and married William Crelia on Oct. 21, 1930, in Geary, Okla.

Her family raised corn and peanuts during the Depression.

She was a faithful member of a Baptist church, wherever she lived.

Her husband died in 1961.

After her oldest son and his wife were killed in 1967, she raised their five children: Donna Fuller of Anderson, Mo., Elaine Mobley of Booneville, Ark., Teresa Sauer of Coral Springs, Fla., Al Crelia of Van Buren, Ark., and Loretta Erickson of Centerton. The Fullers and Sauers are formerly of Pea Ridge, Ark.

She lived in Centerton, Ark., for five years with Loretta Erickson and family; a short time in Edmond, Okla., with Marie Crelia; two years in Huntington, Ark., with Paul Crelia and wife, Donna, and spent her last two years in Anderson, Mo., with Tony and Donna Fuller and their family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; siblings, Myrtle Lee Sellers, Eva Sellers, Nancy Gordon and Curtis Sellers, Jr.; two sons, Alvin C. Crelia and Billy Duane Crelia; and one daughter, Mamie Sue Crelia.

Survivors include one sister, Joyce S. Moore-Carney of Lavaca, Ark.; two sons; eight daughters; 28 grandchildren; 20 greatgrandchildren; six greatgreat-grandchildren; and numerous loved ones.

Visitation was held Monday, Feb. 27, immediately following the service.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, at the Walker-Dowd Funeral Home Chapel in Anderson, Mo. with pastor Stuart Bell officiating.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. - noon at the church.

A second funeral service was held at noon Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the Dayton Baptist Church in Dayton, Ark., with pastor Joe Davis officiating.

Burial followed in the Coop-Prairie Cemetery in Mansfield, Ark.

LaRuth ‘Bessie’ Davis Ewing

LaRuth “Bessie” Davis Ewing, 85, of Rogers, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born Jan. 15, 1927, to Oscar and Voisie (Lee) Davis.

She was a member of Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church and retired from Rogers Municipal Judges’ office.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brotherin-law, Tony Machiavello.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Benjamin F. (Ben) Ewing of the home; one son, Michael Ben Ewing, and wife, Chris Gunn Ewing; daughter-inlaw Lisa Ewing Berry; two grandchildren; two greatgrandsons; and three sisters.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church, with elders Carl Staten and H.D Fulmer officiating.

Interment followed at Little Flock Cemetery.

Bonita Schell Weston Harris

Bonita Schell Weston Harris, 87, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Bradford HouseNursing Home.

She was born Jan.

27, 1925, in Jacket, Mo., to Samuel Joshua Schell andSeanie Ellen Hall Schell.

She was a life member of the Antioch Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her second husband, Gerald Harris; her parents;

a daughter, Glenda Weston Higginbottom; four brothers, Waldo, Orville, Vaun and Sam Schell; and three sisters, Nola Hall, Martha Schell and Juanita Coffee.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Jimmy and Lucille Weston of Stella, Mo., and Johnny and Lynne Weston of Deming, Wash.; one daughter and her husband, Shirley and Darrel Baker of Rogers; five granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is set for 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 1, at Antioch Cemetery in Jacket, Mo., with Tommy Burr officiating.

Carlton Hurst, 82, of Garfield, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012. He was born Feb. 2, 1930, to Ollie Jane and Walter Hurst.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spendingtime with his family. He worked for many years as a mechanic for Cessna in Wichita, Kan. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict, where he obtained an honorable discharge. He retired from Tyson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Bradley M. Hurst; seven sisters; and five brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Phoebe Hurst of the home;

daughter, Darla Jenkins and her husband, Tim, of Garfield; two sons, Michael Hurst and his wife, Ann, of California and Daniel Hurst and his wife, Sheri, of Arizona; 13 grandchildren;

and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. - noon Wednesday, Feb. 29, at Monte Ne Baptist Church in Rogers.

Ruby Boydstun Matthew

Ruby Boydstun Matthew of Bentonville, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at AshleyHealth and Rehab in Rogers. She was born in LaRue, Ark., to the late Henry Elmer and Lottie Belle(Allred) Boydstun.

She graduated from Rogers High School, and later from Draughon’s Business College and the Dale Carnegie Institute. She was employed with Callison-Lough Funeral Home for over 28 years, after which she owned and operated Ruby’s Package Store, north of Garfield. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in Centerton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and four sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Leonard “Junior” Matthew of Garfield; sister, Dot Watkins of Rogers; five nieces; and three nephews.

Following Ruby’s wish, she will be cremated and no services are to be held.

There was a gathering to celebrate Ruby’s life from 3 - 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb.

25, 2012, at Apple Blossom Senior Community in Rogers. Her cremated remains will rest next to her parents in Bland Cemetery.

Maureen K. Milan

Maureen K. Milan, 64, of Rogers, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, in Bentonville.

Maureen was born July 23, 1947, in Hutchinson, Kan., to Olin “Randy” and Pauline “Polly” Carter Davidson.

She was a beautician and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Kaiser and husband, Rodger, of Rogers, Tiffany Lunsford and husband, Robert, of Anderson, Mo., and Melanie Brown and husband, Kevin, of Wichita, Kan.; one brother, Melvin Brown; three sisters, Deborah Ditzler, Kathy Hunnicutt and Winnie Childers; and nine grandchildren.

Monte Herbert Seidel

Monte Herbert Seidel, 72, of Rogers, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at The Maples at Har-Ber Meadows in Springdale. He was born July 7, 1939, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to Kurt Herbert Seidel and Augusta Mordas Seidel.

He was a former LDS branch president.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Carmella M. Zenger Seidel in 1977; father-in-law, Frederick Zenger; two sons, Jason Seidel and Daniel Seidel; and one sister, Carmen Morton.

Survives include his wife of 34 years, Nellene Leoni Seidel, of Rogers; five sons, Monte Seidel Jr. and wife, Pamela, of Rogers, Kyle Helmsderfer and wife, Kristy, of Evans, Ga., Joseph Helmsderfer and wife, Michelle, of Newport News, Va., John Seidel and wife, Marium, of Bella Vista, and Tyler Seidel of Bentonville; five daughters, Kim Hanson and husband, Jay, of Rogers, Lori Waddell and husband, Quinten, of McKinney, Texas, Tiffany Epps and husband, Rick, of Rogers, Cheri Helmsderfer and husband, Nate, of Germantown, Md., and Lindsey Langley and husband, Travis, of Avoca; mother-in-law, Marie Zenger of Bloomingdale, Ontario, Canada; and 36 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Dixieland Road in Rogers, with Bishop Eric Brown officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Gary Lee Summers

Gary Lee Summers, 63, of Seligman, Mo., died Saturday, Feb. 25, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born March 26, 1948, in Ventura, Calif., to Harold William Summers and Helen Virginia Allen Summers.

He served in the U.S. Army and was a general welder.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include a son, Jason Summers of Calif.; a daughter, Carman Summers of Grand Junction, Colo.; one sister, Beverly Heaton of Seligman, Mo.; one brother, Dennis Summers of Wiggins,Colo.; three step-brothers, Lyndel Elliott, Larry Elliott and Lonnie Elliott.

A memorial service is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29, at New Beginnings Ministry in Seligman, Mo., with Pastor Joe Pride officiating.

Eva “Jodi” Wilke, 82, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, in Springdale. She was born Aug. 12, 1929, in Oklahoma City to Ernest Gregory and Lora (Scott) Gregory.

She was a homemaker and a Protestant.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Byron Wilke; one son, Greg Wilke and wife, Keiko, of Springdale, Ark.; and two grandchildren, Scott Wilke of Seligman, Mo., and Loralei Justice of Springdale.
