’Til Next Time: Procrastination or dementia?

— Maybe I should move my phone to the bathroom.

Seems like every time I get in the shower, it rings!

Also, I’m thinking of changing my middle name to “procrastinate.” This week I caused a person extreme trouble by doing that and I cost myself overdue charges by postponing a decision and then forgetting it. A little dementia figures in there, too!

At U.M.C. the subject was missions, so besides what we already support, we want to continue the Brightwater support for Jack and Judy Schaible in Chile.

Some more good news - Kim Weston’s report was cancer was 80 percent gone and she’s put on mop-up and maintenance medicine!

Our birthday Sunday celebration had to be postponed until next week because of Easter.

There are so many good Pea Ridge people going to the Wellness Center, but one really caught my interest when I heard his story.

Ted Brodin will be driving to Indiana this summer to attend a reunion of Navy men from the ship U.S.S.

Bushnell A 515. He’s only seen one of the men in 36 years, and it’s been over 50 years since they served together. Living in close quarters like that, I guess you get to know each other pretty well. I’m so pleased for him to do this. He and his trusty oxygen tank will have a trip to remember, for sure!

Another good part of the week was attending a baby shower for a grandson and finding out another grandson is expecting one.

I have eight grandsons and this will make me greatgrandma three times. I wish I could be closely involved, but they both live a distance away. I really don’t mind become a great-grandma, but what really kind-of bothers me is - that my kids are becoming grandparents. Boy, does that make me feel old.

The girl from my hometown newspaper gave me a chuckle when she spoke about there being no dumb questions - so why is caffeine better at keeping us awake at night than it is at keeping us alert during the day time? Also, why do we feel the urge to kick the furniture after we stub our toe?

The Easter egg hunt was well attended and a good time was had by all, and there was a good sized crowd at the sunrise services. Breakfast was served at Pea Ridge.

Why do we complain about parking downtown and then walk five miles in the mall?
