WALNUT RIDGE — Patrick McMahon of Garfield was inducted into Theta Alpha Kappa, thenational honor society for religious studies and theology.
McMahon was inductedinto the Alpha Delta Omicron chapter of the society at Williams Baptist College during the Christian Ministries Banquet April 3.
Students selected for membership in Theta Alpha Kappa must be of high academic standing and rank in the top 35 percent of their class. The society requires that inductees have completed 12 semester hours of upper levelreligion courses, obtain a 3.5 grade point average in these courses, and carry an overall grade point average of at least 3.0.
McMahon is a senior at Williams, majoring in Christian ministries. He is married to Teala McMahon, and he is the son ofJoseph and Ellen McMahon of Garfield.
Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge.
