Odoriferous mouse is too well hidden

My storm door into the garage developed a gap under it and I knew we would have chilly weather and the mice would come in. We had chilly weather and, yes, they did. I had mice poison out and the point of this story is - there is no way to mistake a dead mouse smell. I’ve searched under every movable item and the trouble is there will be some all winter long.

I’m sure tired of picking up walnuts. Must of had a bumper crop this year despite the dry spell. They have to be taken out of the yard because when one meets the blade of the lawn mower, everybody needs to take cover. The dry spell caused the paw-paw trees to drop its leaves to protect itself, but we see green at the top of the tree after a few rains. Also, I never saw a single buckeye down along the road this fall. The trees were bare.

While sitting on the bleachers at a junior varsity football game the crowd was treated to a big, almost full, yellow moon. Very eye catching and I saw several pictures being taken.

With my age staring back at me, I’ve begun to try to be a more careful driver. This week I pulled a boo-boo and the driver in the other car was quick and harsh to tell me about it. It upset me so I had to pull off for a few minutes.

What was I thinking? Usually I think, “Well I wasn’t thinking,” but this time it was opposite. I was thinking about something and was off in another world. I don’t think very often and sure picked a bad time to be doing it. Yes, the other

driver’s fast thinking saved us from a fender bender.

There wasn’t much speed involved, but I really appreciate him. I feel like I deserved the good long horn blast! I wonder if it was necessary to still be blasting his horn and fingering me a block on down the street, but I think it made him feel better.

The bazaar is over and the women are beat. I spent those days doing other things but made a mental note to remember next year to not sign up for obligations on those days.

I know that Kathy and Madonna will make the craft fairs profitable! I love to see what they have picked for us when we open our Christmas presents.

Sunday was layman day at Brightwater and Kurt Olson did a great job at the pulpit.

Next Saturday is Men’s Breakfast with a time change to 9 a.m.
