Pea Ridge Optimist Club

The Pea Ridge Optimist Club met March 17, at 6:30 p.m., at the Pea Ridge High School. The Meeting was conducted by the new president, Sandy Lasater. Mayor Jackie Crabtree talked about the growth of Pea Ridge and how it affects federal grants and funding.

Guests were 2Xtreme softball team and their coaches. The coaches explained how many girls they have and the age group of the team.

Connie Grau brought the trophy for the Pea Ridge Quiz Bowl team. They won fourth place in Regional, so the team will be going to State April 1, in Batesville.

The Optimist Club meets the first and third Thursday of each month. The club will be having morning and evening meetings. The next meeting will be 7 a.m., Thursday, April 7, at the high school library/multimedia room.

Bunker Hill Club

BUNKER HILL, Mo.

- The monthly singing at Bunker Hill is set for 6 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at the Bunker Hill Community Building, located five miles north of Pineville, Mo., on Missouri Hwy. W, or 5 miles east of Anderson, Mo., on Missouri Hwy. 76 to W.

There will be a potluck dessert/finger food table so bring food to snack on to share with everyone. Bill Conaway, from Anderson, Mo., will head the evening’sevent. He and several musicians sing and play a variety of music. To listen to music or join in, come to Bunker Hill this Saturday. New talent is welcome.

The Bunker Hill Community Club meets every Thursday to quilt and do other handcrafts. Anyone is invited to join us from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
