Bessie ‘Sallie’ Weadon-Bratcher

Bessie “Sallie” Weadon-

Bratcher, 77, died Oct. 16, 2010. She was diag nosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2005 and slowly declined thereafter.

She was awonderful and loyal wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, the Rev. Floyd “Allen” Bratcher; her parents, Fred Brian Weadon and Ellia Myrtle Smith-Weadon; and her five siblings: Floyd F. and Margie Mae Weadon, Rosaline Weadon, Pete and Mary Weadon-Warner, Ralph and Marguerite “Margie” Weadon-Monteil, and Fred Jr. and Laverne Weadon.

Survivors include her children, Tim and Kathy Bratcher of Pea Ridge, Robin and Ruth Bratcher-Beaudoin of Washington and Patricia Bratcher of Colorado; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren: Jason and Jade Bratcher, Justin Wallwebber, Jeremy and Jaydee Bratcher, Janessa Jacobs, Alan and Sarah Bratcher-Austin, Marine Corp. Corporal Jess Jacobs, Jordan Beaudoin, Matthew Beaudoin, Lydia Jacobs, Grace Bratcher, Elijah Austin, Faith Bratcher, Ezekiel Austin and Ezra Austin; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

A visitation ceremony is scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21, at Leintz Funeral Home, 4701 10th Ave., Leavenworth, Kan.

A memorial servoce will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 22, at Leintz Funeral Home, Leavenworth, Kan.

Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. in the Leavenworth National Military Cemetery with her husband, the Rev. Floyd “Allen” Bratcher.

Catheryn Ann Copeland

Catheryn Ann Copeland, 56, formerly of Pea Ridge, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, in Mountain Home, Ark. She was born May 16, 1954, in Springfield, Mo., to Clarence and Lela Knapp.

She graduated from Pea Ridge High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include two sons, Allen Copeland of Harrison and Stanley Copeland of Fayetteville; and two grandchildren.

Graveside service was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at Ruddick Cemetery.

Arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge.

Durward M. “Shorty” Pamplin

Durward M. “Shorty” Pamplin, 86, of Pea Ridge died Tuesday, Oct. 12, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County. He was born Oct. 29, 1923, in Springfield, Mo., to Floyd Pamplin and Geneva Stokes Pamplin.

He was lead man over aircraft construction for Boeing Aircraft. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, making wooden yo-yos and was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents; hisfirst wife, Frances Pamplin; a grandson Paul Seagroves; and a sister, Sonia Hood.

Survivors include his wife, Emma Lou Crabtree Pamplin of Pea Ridge; four stepchildren, Jim Price of Norwalk, Calif., Clara Seagroves of Pea Ridge, Linda Seagroves of Norwalk, Calif., and Marie Owen of Amarillo, Texas; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Springfield, Mo., with the Rev. Jim Bunch officiating.
