Woman arrested in connection with sexual assault of teen

— A Garfield woman was arrested Tuesday in connection with two felonycounts involving a minor.

Felicia Roxie Haney, 24, of 2611 U.S. 62 in Garfield, was arrested in connection with felony fourth-degree sexual assault involving an individual younger than 16 and introduction of a controlled substance by injection.

The incident occurred in September, according to Cpl. Angel Murphy-Pearce, public information officer with the Rogers Police Department.

Murphy-Pearce said police records show the alleged victim was a 15-yearold boy and the incident happened at the southeast Rogers home of a relative of the boy.

Haney asked the boy to go into a bedroom and watch a movie, police records show, and then asked the boy if he wanted to take some painkillers.

The boy took the painkiller, and the two had sex, according to a report.

Murphy-Pearce said the time lapse between incident and arrest happened because police had trouble locating Haney.

Haney was also in custody in connection with two misdemeanor counts of failure to appear and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Haney was being held Wednesday in the Benton County Jail in lieu of an $850 bond on the misdemeanor counts. No bond was set on the felony counts.
