— Debbie Speer knows Valentine’s Day.

For the last three years, Speer has been the owner of Pea Ridge Florist. All told, she boasts 28 years of floral experience.

“I love designing, I love the people, I love making deliveries and seeing their faces,” she said.

Speer is about to kick off one of two biggest selling holidays - Valentine’s Day.

Mother’s Day is the second.

The best Valentine’s Day sellers, she said, are roses and mixed bouquets. She also creates custom arrangements. One glance into her shop offers a plethora ofideas for loved ones, from balloons to giant Hershey bars.

Speer runs deliveries throughout the area, including Rogers, Bentonville, Garfield, Bella Vista and even Missouri. She said she can normally get an order delivered with just a day’s notice.

If red roses don’t suit a loved one’s fancy, the shop carries other colors, even black. This time of year also offers blooming tulips, irises, daffodils and lilies.

Pea Ridge Florist will be open on Sunday, Feb. 14.
